Julie Kearns


  • Resident in Oakridge since 1978, married to Jim, parent of 3 and grandma to 8.

  • Semi-retired adult educator and evaluation consultant, following 32 years as University of Calgary faculty member.

  • Board member of Oakridge Community Association.

  • Julie enjoys genealogy and gardening.

  • OSA Focus: Making Oakridge a community for all ages and building OSA into a strong and viable organization. Grant application writer.

Sheila Foster

Vice President/ Director of Communications

  • Resident of Oakridge since 1976, married to Ted, no children, just 46-year-old Amazon parrot.

  • Retired President of Target Communications, an independent contractor with public sector, private sector and not-for-profit clients. Accredited member International Association of Business Communicators (ABC).

  • Twenty-five years’ business experience in automobile (London, England) insurance (Toronto) and oil and gas exploration and development (Calgary) industries.

  • Graduate and past PR Advisory Committee Chair of Mount Royal University Public Relations program.

  • Interests: Travel, reading, photography

  • OSA Focus: Marketing & Communications

Shelley Goldstein


  • Resident of Oakridge since 2012, married to Ken, parent of 4, step-parent of 4, Nana to 12. 

  • Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) with more than 35 years’ experience, passionate about helping businesses move their books to the cloud.  Works with business owners to help them better understand the financial side of running their businesses. 

  • Interests include walking, reading, gardening, knitting and languages.

  • OSA focus: Moving our accounting records to the cloud, financial viability, accountability and sustainability.

Debra Sharpe

Director, Programs & Events

  • Resident of Oakridge for 15 years, raised her two children here.

  • Career as Realtor and Land Sales Agent for the City of Calgary.

  • Keen amateur photographer, with focus on urban wildlife, exhibiting her work on local and international Facebook pages. Her passion in this area keeps Debra engaged in technology and editing photos.

  • Involved with OSA as a volunteer in Wednesday Walkers and other programs.

  • Has experience on a non-profit board.

  • OSA focus will be to create fun and enjoyable programs despite the pandemic, to ensure member feedback and ideas are included in our plans.

Del Kobelsky


  • Native of Wilkie, Saskatchewan, studied Architectural Technology in Moose Jaw.

  • Career in home design and construction (Saskatoon and Red Deer), then commercial construction.

  • Moved to Oakridge in 1989, working in Property Management (maintenance and property upgrades), and eventually as construction manager for large downtown high-rise property management firm.

  • Del has two kids, a son in the oil industry and a daughter with a degree in Kinesiology.

  • Active volunteer in Oakridge Boy Scouts for 15 years, and currently enjoys woodworking.

  • Active in various OSA activities since 2018, especially weekly Men’s Coffee Group.

  • OSA Focus: Vetting contractors for the Preferred Service Provider l-ist and creating other basic service connections.

Teresa Nelson Keller

Executive Director

  • Has worked in the non-profit sector for the past 20 years in a variety of fields including government, career and employment, children and youth, and more.

  • Her primary focus has been on non-profit management, organizational development, volunteer coordination, training, community engagement and communications.

  • Feels passionately about making a positive difference in the lives of others and is an advocate for change in many areas.

  • Teresa volunteers as a Girl Guide leader, with her children at school, and teaches yoga for fun.

  • OSA Focus: Communications, Community Engagement & Board Governance

Corey Skrypnek

Program Coordinator

  • Has over a decade of administrative experience in a variety of non-profit settings.

  • Loves to work with people and is passionate about supporting them in creating their best life.

  • Many years of experience volunteering in several diverse organizations as a board member, coach, fundraiser, and as a program leader.

  • Is a strong advocate for animal rescue, often fostering puppies or kittens.

  • OSA Focus: Program coordination, office administration.
