Our History

In 2018 a small group of people came together with an idea to improve the lives of seniors in a community that was growing older. At the time, 19% of Oakridge residents were 65 years and older, making it the community with the largest number of seniors residing in it, according to the Calgary census.

Since the beginning, a steady growth in the number of seniors living in Oakridge and surrounding communities, has encouraged the growth and creation of new services where

seniors can feel connected.

OSA continues to grow and evolve in order to meet the needs of Calgary seniors in the SW Calgary communities it serves.
